Description

The Huawei CloudEngine S5735-L48T4S-A1 is an enterprise access switch built on Huawei’s high-performance hardware and Versatile Routing Platform (VRP). It is designed to provide reliable Gigabit connectivity for enterprise and campus environments while offering flexible networking, security controls, and Layer 3 routing capabilities.

The switch provides 48 × 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 Ethernet ports, making it suitable for connecting desktop computers, IP phones, printers, wireless access points, cameras, servers, and other Ethernet devices. It also includes 4 × 1000BASE-X SFP ports for fiber-based Gigabit uplinks to aggregation switches, core switches, or remote network segments.

The S5735-L48T4S-A1 is a non-PoE model, so its Ethernet ports do not supply power to connected devices. This makes it appropriate for standard wired access deployments where connected devices have their own power sources or where dedicated PoE switches are used separately.

The platform supports comprehensive Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, QoS, link aggregation, spanning-tree protocols, multicast, IPv4/IPv6 routing, and security features. It can also support stacking, allowing compatible switches to operate as a logical switching system for improved scalability and simplified management.

The switch uses a compact 1U metal chassis measuring approximately 43.6 × 442 × 220 mm. It has an integrated AC power supply, one built-in fan, and supports an operating temperature of approximately -5°C to +50°C at elevations up to 1,800 meters.
