TP-Link TL-SG1008D
The TP-Link TL-SG1008D is an 8-port Gigabit unmanaged desktop switch designed for homes, offices, workgroups, and small business networks. It provides 8 × 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports, plug-and-play installation, Auto-Negotiation, Auto MDI/MDIX, and energy-efficient Green Ethernet technology.
Description
The TP-Link TL-SG1008D is a compact and easy-to-use Gigabit Ethernet switch that provides a simple way to expand an existing wired network. With eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports, it allows multiple computers, printers, IP cameras, network storage devices, access points, and other Ethernet-enabled equipment to communicate at Gigabit speeds.
As an unmanaged switch, the TL-SG1008D requires no configuration or specialized networking knowledge. Users can simply connect Ethernet cables and begin using the switch immediately. Each port automatically detects the connected device’s speed and duplex mode, while Auto MDI/MDIX eliminates the need for crossover cables.
The switch features a 16 Gbps switching capacity, allowing all eight Gigabit ports to operate efficiently within the switch’s switching architecture. It uses store-and-forward transmission and supports IEEE 802.3x flow control for reliable data transfer.
TP-Link’s Green Ethernet technology automatically adjusts power consumption according to link status and cable length. The switch can reduce power consumption on inactive ports and optimize energy use based on network conditions.
The TL-SG1008D uses a fanless design, making it quiet for desktop and office environments. Its compact enclosure supports desktop or wall-mounted installation, providing flexibility when space is limited.
