Description

The TP-Link TL-NS650-48G6T-RPS is an enterprise-class managed switch designed to provide high-density Gigabit access together with high-speed optical uplinks. Its combination of 48 Gigabit RJ45 ports and 6 multi-speed SFP+ ports makes it suitable for enterprise access, aggregation, and core network applications.

The switch provides 48 × 10/100/1000 Mbps adaptive RJ45 ports for connecting computers, servers, IP phones, wireless access points, surveillance equipment, printers, and other network devices. The 6 × SFP+ ports support 1G, 2.5G, and 10Gbps operation, allowing the switch to connect to higher-speed aggregation and core infrastructure.

The TL-NS650-48G6T-RPS is a Layer 3 managed switch with comprehensive routing capabilities. It supports static routing as well as dynamic routing protocols including RIP/RIPng, OSPFv2/OSPFv3, BGP4/BGP4+, and IS-IS/IS-ISv6, making it suitable for more complex enterprise network architectures.

For network resiliency, the switch supports stacking of up to 8 units, allowing multiple switches to operate as a logical system. It also supports ERPS, BFD, STP, RSTP, MSTP, and loop protection to improve network availability and reduce the impact of link or device failures.

A major feature of the RPS version is its redundant power architecture. The switch supports two hot-swappable power modules in a 1+1 redundant configuration. The supported TL-PSM100-AC and TL-PSM100-DC modules are purchased separately and can be mixed according to the deployment requirements.

The switch also provides extensive security capabilities, including 802.1X authentication, Guest VLAN, IP-MAC-Port-VID binding, IP source protection, DoS protection, port security, and Layer 2–Layer 4 ACLs. QoS functions provide traffic prioritization and policy control for business-critical applications.
