It provides 24 × GE electrical LAN ports, 2 × GE electrical ports, and 2 × 10GE optical ports, with four SIC expansion slots and support for advanced routing, VPN, security, and SD-WAN services.
Description
The Huawei NetEngine AR6710-L26T2X4 is an enterprise-class access router from Huawei’s NetEngine AR6700 series, developed for organizations requiring secure, scalable WAN and SD-WAN connectivity. Huawei positions the AR6700 series for deployment at the egress of medium and small campus networks and at enterprise headquarters.
The AR6710-L26T2X4 provides 24 × Gigabit Ethernet electrical ports, along with 2 × Gigabit electrical ports and 2 × 10GE optical ports. All fixed WAN ports can be switched to LAN ports, giving administrators flexibility when designing network connectivity.
The router is designed for SD-WAN deployments and provides SD-WAN performance of up to 4.5 Gbps with 1400-byte packets, while SD-WAN IPsec performance reaches 6 Gbps. Huawei also specifies approximately 3.2 Gbps forwarding performance for NAT + ACL + QoS with IMIX traffic and 1.6 Gbps IPsec performance with IMIX.
For expansion, the AR6710-L26T2X4 includes four SIC slots and supports up to two WSIC slots. This allows the router to be adapted with additional interfaces and specialized connectivity modules according to deployment requirements.
The platform also supports wireless access controller functionality, with 32 APs managed by default and up to 128 APs with the appropriate licensing. This makes it possible to integrate wired WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, and wireless infrastructure within a unified enterprise platform.
The router includes 4 GB memory, an RJ45 console port, and a USB interface. It uses a compact 1U rack-mounted chassis measuring approximately 442 × 420 × 44.4 mm, making it suitable for enterprise network cabinets and data-center racks.
