The Fortinet FS-124E FortiSwitch is a 1U rack-mount Layer 2/Layer 3 managed Ethernet switch designed for enterprise access networks, branch offices, campus environments, and Fortinet Security Fabric deployments.
It provides 24 × Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports and 4 × Gigabit Ethernet SFP fiber ports, with a 56 Gbps switching capacity, 83 Mpps packet forwarding rate, support for up to 4,000 VLANs, and an 8K MAC address table. The FS-124E is the standard non-PoE model, making it suitable for environments where connected devices do not require power over Ethernet.
Description
The Fortinet FS-124E FortiSwitch provides reliable Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for enterprise and campus access networks. Its combination of 24 copper Gigabit Ethernet ports and 4 Gigabit SFP interfaces allows organizations to connect desktop computers, servers, network appliances, access points, uplinks, and fiber-based infrastructure within the same switching platform.
The switch is designed for integration with the Fortinet Security Fabric and can be centrally managed through FortiGate using FortiLink, helping simplify deployment, configuration, monitoring, and security administration.
With 56 Gbps of duplex switching capacity and 83 Mpps packet forwarding performance, the FS-124E provides wire-speed Gigabit switching for typical enterprise access workloads. It supports VLAN segmentation, link aggregation, spanning-tree technologies, access control, and other enterprise networking functions.
The FS-124E is also fanless, making it well suited to office and other environments where reduced acoustic noise is desirable.
