Description
The FortiGate FG-80F is part of Fortinet’s FortiGate 80F Series, designed to deliver integrated network security and high-speed connectivity for branch and enterprise environments.
Powered by FortiOS and Fortinet’s SoC4 security acceleration technology, the FG-80F is designed to accelerate security processing and networking functions while maintaining efficient power consumption. It combines NGFW, Secure SD-WAN, application control, VPN, and advanced threat protection in a single appliance.
The FG-80F provides 10 × Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 interfaces, including dedicated WAN, DMZ, and internal connectivity. It also supports FortiLink, enabling integration with FortiSwitch infrastructure for centralized network management.
The platform is designed for environments where higher security performance is required, providing up to 10 Gbps firewall throughput, 1.4 Gbps IPS throughput, 1 Gbps NGFW throughput, and 800 Mbps threat-protection throughput. IPsec VPN performance can reach up to 6.5 Gbps, depending on configuration and traffic conditions.
With its compact desktop form factor, the FG-80F is suitable for enterprise branch locations, retail sites, professional offices, and distributed networks where a dedicated rack-mounted firewall may not be necessary.
