Description

The Cisco Firepower 2110 is part of the Cisco Firepower 2100 Series Next-Generation Firewalls, providing advanced network security for organizations that require reliable perimeter protection and centralized security management.

The FPR2110-NGFW-K9 combines purpose-built security hardware with Cisco’s Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) architecture. It can also support Cisco ASA software, allowing organizations to select the security operating environment appropriate for their network requirements.

The platform provides integrated Ethernet connectivity for connecting enterprise LAN, WAN, Internet, DMZ, and data-center networks. Its modular architecture also allows additional network interfaces to be added using compatible network modules.

When running Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense, the Firepower 2110 provides multiple layers of protection, including stateful firewalling, application visibility and control, intrusion prevention (IPS), URL filtering, advanced malware protection, and security intelligence. These capabilities enable administrators to identify applications, inspect network traffic, enforce security policies, and block known and emerging threats.

The Firepower 2110 supports site-to-site IPsec VPN and remote-access VPN, making it suitable for securely connecting branch offices, remote users, headquarters, cloud environments, and other enterprise locations.

The appliance also supports advanced networking capabilities including NAT/PAT, access-control policies, IPv4/IPv6 routing, dynamic routing, VLANs, QoS, and high-availability configurations.

The Firepower 2110 is housed in a 1U rack-mount chassis, making it suitable for enterprise server rooms, data centers, and network cabinets where rack space and security performance are important considerations.
