Description

The Juniper SRX340-SYS-JB is an integrated security and networking platform designed for midsize distributed enterprises and branch-office environments. It combines stateful firewalling, routing, switching, VPN connectivity, and WAN expansion in a compact 1U rack-mount chassis.

The platform features 16 onboard 1GbE interfaces, consisting of eight Gigabit Ethernet copper ports and eight Gigabit Ethernet SFP ports. This combination provides flexibility for both copper-based LAN connections and fiber uplinks. The SRX340 also includes four Mini-Physical Interface Module (Mini-PIM/MPIM) slots, allowing supported WAN and connectivity modules to be added according to deployment requirements.

The system includes 4GB of DRAM and 8GB of internal Flash storage and is supplied with its power supply, power cable, and rack-mount kit. The fixed chassis occupies 1U of standard rack space.

Unlike the SRX340 hardware-only configuration, the SRX340-SYS-JB includes Junos Software Base. The included software package provides core networking and security services including firewall, NAT, IPsec, routing, MPLS, and switching, making this configuration a complete hardware-and-software system.
