Description
The Cisco Catalyst C9300X-48HX-E is an enterprise-class, stackable switch in the Cisco Catalyst 9300X Series. It is designed for demanding access-layer environments that require high-speed 10G connectivity, advanced Power over Ethernet, scalability, and strong network security.
The switch provides 48 × 10G Multigigabit Ethernet copper ports, supporting 100 Mbps, 1Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 5Gbps, and 10Gbps speeds. Each port supports Cisco UPOE+ with up to 90W, making the switch suitable for powering high-demand devices such as wireless access points, IP phones, cameras, IoT equipment, and other connected infrastructure.
The C9300X-48HX-E features a modular uplink architecture, allowing compatible Cisco uplink modules to be selected for different network requirements, including high-speed 10Gb, 25Gb, 40Gb, and 100Gb-class connectivity depending on the installed module and configuration.
The Catalyst 9300X platform uses the UADP 2.0sec ASIC, which provides hardware-based security capabilities including support for line-rate cryptography and hardware-based IPsec. The platform also includes an x86 CPU complex with 8GB memory and 16GB flash, with support for application hosting and an optional external USB 3.0 SSD.
For scalability, the C9300X-48HX-E supports StackWise-1T, providing up to 1 Tbps stacking bandwidth, and StackPower+ for enhanced power resiliency and sharing. Cisco specifies a 1,100W AC power supply as the default configuration for this model.
