Description
The Cisco Catalyst C9500-24Y4C-A is an enterprise-grade switch from the Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series, designed specifically for high-density aggregation, core, and distribution-layer deployments. Unlike conventional access switches, it uses fiber-based SFP28 and QSFP28 interfaces to deliver high-bandwidth connectivity between network infrastructure, servers, aggregation switches, and data center systems.
The switch features 24 × 1/10/25 Gigabit SFP28 ports, providing flexible high-speed connectivity for a wide range of enterprise network architectures. In addition, four 40/100 Gigabit QSFP28 ports provide high-bandwidth uplinks for connecting the switch to core infrastructure or other high-performance network platforms.
The “-A” designation identifies the Network Advantage software package, providing advanced Layer 3 routing, security, automation, and enterprise networking capabilities. The platform runs Cisco IOS XE and is designed for highly available and scalable network architectures.
