Cisco-Catalyst C9300-48P-E
The Cisco Catalyst C9300-48P-E is a 48-port enterprise Layer 3 managed PoE+ switch designed for high-density campus, enterprise, branch, and access-layer deployments. It provides 48 × 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE+ ports, supports up to 30W per PoE+ port, and features modular uplink capabilities, advanced Layer 2/Layer 3 routing, StackWise-480, enterprise security, QoS, and Cisco DNA integration.
Description
The Cisco Catalyst C9300-48P-E is part of the Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series, Cisco’s enterprise-class switching platform designed for secure, high-performance campus and access-layer networks.
The switch provides 48 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports with IEEE 802.3at PoE+ support, allowing it to deliver both network connectivity and electrical power to compatible devices over standard Ethernet cabling. This makes it suitable for IP phones, wireless access points, IP cameras, IoT devices, and other PoE-enabled endpoints.
Unlike the C9300L-48T-4G-E, the C9300-48P-E supports modular uplink modules, allowing organizations to select the appropriate uplink interface configuration as network requirements evolve. Compatible uplink options include 1G, 10G, 25G, and higher-speed configurations, depending on the selected network module.
The switch runs Cisco IOS XE, providing advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking capabilities. It supports VLANs, STP/RSTP/MST, EtherChannel, IPv4/IPv6 routing, OSPF, EIGRP, VRF, QoS, and multicast networking.
The Catalyst C9300-48P-E supports StackWise-480, allowing up to eight compatible Catalyst 9300 switches to operate as a single logical switching system. The stacking architecture provides up to 480 Gbps of stack bandwidth, simplifying management while improving network scalability and resiliency.
Security features include 802.1X authentication, MACsec encryption, port security, DHCP snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, IP Source Guard, ACLs, Cisco TrustSec, and advanced segmentation capabilities.
The switch also integrates with Cisco DNA Center and Cisco’s intent-based networking architecture, providing centralized provisioning, automation, monitoring, policy management, and network assurance.
