Description

The Cisco Catalyst C9300L-24P-4G-A is part of the Cisco Catalyst 9300L Series, an enterprise switching platform designed for high-performance, secure, and reliable access-layer deployments.

The switch provides 24 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports with IEEE 802.3at PoE+, allowing network devices to receive both data connectivity and electrical power through a single Ethernet cable. Each PoE+ port can deliver up to 30W, making the switch suitable for powering IP phones, wireless access points, IP cameras, IoT devices, and other PoE-enabled endpoints.

The 4G designation identifies the switch’s four fixed 1 Gigabit SFP uplink ports, which provide fiber-based connectivity to aggregation or core switches. Unlike standard Catalyst 9300 models with modular uplinks, the C9300L platform uses fixed uplink interfaces, providing a defined and cost-effective uplink configuration.

The switch operates with Cisco IOS XE, delivering enterprise Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking capabilities. Supported technologies include VLANs, STP/RSTP/MST, EtherChannel, IPv4/IPv6 routing, OSPF, EIGRP, VRF, QoS, multicast, and advanced network segmentation.

The C9300L-24P-4G-A supports StackWise-320, enabling multiple compatible switches to be combined into a single logical switching system. This provides up to 320 Gbps of stacking bandwidth and simplifies management and network scalability.

Security features include 802.1X authentication, port security, DHCP snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, IP Source Guard, ACLs, MACsec encryption, and Cisco TrustSec, helping organizations secure endpoints and control access throughout the network.

The -A designation identifies the Network Advantage software package, providing a broader set of advanced Layer 3 and enterprise networking capabilities than Network Essentials.
