Description

The Cisco Catalyst C9300L-24P-4G-A is part of the Cisco Catalyst 9300L Series, an enterprise-class switching platform designed to deliver secure and reliable wired access for modern campus and business networks.

The switch features 24 × 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 ports with IEEE 802.3at PoE+, enabling the switch to deliver both network connectivity and electrical power through a single Ethernet cable. Each PoE+ port supports up to 30W, making the switch suitable for powering IP phones, wireless access points, IP cameras, IoT devices, and other PoE-enabled equipment.

The switch includes 4 × fixed 1G SFP uplink ports for fiber-based connections to aggregation and core switches. The C9300L platform uses fixed uplinks rather than the modular uplink architecture found on standard Catalyst 9300 models, making this configuration appropriate for networks with established 1G uplink requirements.

The C9300L-24P-4G-A operates with Cisco IOS XE, providing comprehensive Layer 2 and Layer 3 functionality. It supports VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP/MST, EtherChannel, IPv4/IPv6 routing, OSPF, EIGRP, VRF, QoS, multicast, and advanced network segmentation.

The switch supports StackWise-320, allowing compatible Catalyst 9300L switches to be combined into a single logical switching system. StackWise-320 provides up to 320 Gbps of stacking bandwidth, simplifying management and allowing access-layer infrastructure to scale as network requirements grow.

Security features include 802.1X authentication, port security, DHCP snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, IP Source Guard, ACLs, MACsec encryption, and Cisco TrustSec.

The -A designation identifies the Network Advantage software package, providing enhanced Layer 3 and enterprise networking capabilities compared with Network Essentials.
