Cisco-Catalyst C9300-24P-E
The Cisco Catalyst C9300-24P-E is a 24-port enterprise Layer 3 PoE+ managed switch designed for secure campus, enterprise, branch, and access-layer deployments. It provides 24 × 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE+ ports, modular uplink support, advanced Layer 2/Layer 3 routing, StackWise-480, enterprise security, QoS, and Cisco DNA capabilities
Description
The Cisco Catalyst C9300-24P-E is part of the Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series, an enterprise-class switching platform designed to provide secure, reliable, and scalable network access for modern campus and business environments.
The switch features 24 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports with IEEE 802.3at PoE+, allowing compatible devices to receive both network connectivity and electrical power over a single Ethernet cable. Each PoE+ port can provide up to 30W, making the switch suitable for IP phones, wireless access points, IP cameras, IoT devices, and other PoE-enabled equipment.
The C9300-24P-E uses a modular uplink architecture, allowing compatible network modules to provide higher-speed uplinks to aggregation and core switches. This gives organizations flexibility to select the appropriate uplink configuration as bandwidth requirements evolve.
The switch runs Cisco IOS XE, providing enterprise Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking capabilities including VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP/MST, EtherChannel, IPv4/IPv6 routing, OSPF, EIGRP, VRF, QoS, multicast, and network segmentation.
The StackWise-480 architecture allows up to eight compatible Catalyst 9300 switches to operate as a single logical switching system, providing up to 480 Gbps of stacking bandwidth. This simplifies management and supports scalable and resilient access-layer deployments.
Security capabilities include 802.1X authentication, port security, DHCP snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, IP Source Guard, ACLs, MACsec encryption, and Cisco TrustSec, helping organizations secure users, devices, and network traffic.
The -E suffix identifies the Network Essentials software package, providing core enterprise switching and Layer 3 capabilities.
