Description
The Huawei AirEngine 5761-21 is an enterprise-grade indoor wireless access point designed to provide high-speed, reliable Wi-Fi 6 connectivity in environments requiring high bandwidth and consistent wireless performance.
The access point uses 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 technology and supports six spatial streams, with 2×2:2 MIMO on the 2.4 GHz band and 4×4:4 MIMO on the 5 GHz band. Huawei specifies a maximum aggregate air-interface rate of 5.375 Gbit/s.
The AirEngine 5761-21 incorporates built-in dual-band Smart Antennas designed to dynamically optimize wireless coverage and suppress interference. Huawei states that the Smart Antenna technology can improve signal strength and expand coverage compared with conventional antenna designs.
Wi-Fi 6 technologies including OFDMA, MU-MIMO, and 1024-QAM improve spectrum efficiency and allow the access point to serve multiple users more efficiently. This makes the device particularly suitable for environments with many simultaneous wireless clients.
For wired connectivity, the AP provides a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 interface with PoE input, along with an additional Gigabit Ethernet interface and USB connectivity. Huawei documentation specifies support for 802.3at PoE, with DC power also supported.
The AirEngine 5761-21 also includes Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) functionality and can be centrally managed through Huawei networking and cloud-management solutions.
