Description
The Huawei AirEngine 5761-11 is part of Huawei’s AirEngine 5700 family of enterprise wireless access points. It uses Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) technology to improve wireless capacity, efficiency, and user experience in environments with multiple simultaneously connected devices.
The AP operates simultaneously on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, using 2×2 MIMO on each band for a total of four spatial streams. Huawei specifies theoretical rates of up to 575 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, 1.2 Gbps on 5 GHz, and 1.775 Gbit/s combined.
The AirEngine 5761-11 incorporates built-in dual-band Smart Antennas designed to dynamically optimize wireless coverage and reduce interference. Huawei states that this technology can provide wider coverage and improve signal quality compared with conventional antenna solutions.
Wi-Fi 6 technologies including OFDMA, MU-MIMO, 1024-QAM, BSS coloring/spatial reuse, and Target Wake Time (TWT) improve spectrum efficiency, reduce congestion, and help support multiple users simultaneously.
For wired connectivity, the access point provides one 10/100/1000M RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port with PoE input. It supports both IEEE 802.3at and 802.3af PoE, as well as a 12V DC power input. When powered through 802.3af, certain functionality—such as the USB port—is restricted.
The AP also includes a USB 2.0 Type-A interface for IoT expansion and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.2, making it suitable for selected IoT and location-related applications.
Management options include Fit, Fat, and cloud working modes, along with local web management, SSH-based management, Bluetooth console access, and Huawei network/cloud management solutions.
