Description

The Juniper Networks EX3300-48P is part of the Juniper EX3300 Series, a family of fixed-configuration enterprise Ethernet switches designed for reliable and scalable access-layer connectivity.

The switch provides 48 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports with IEEE 802.3at PoE+ support, enabling compatible devices to receive both data and electrical power through a single Ethernet cable. This makes the EX3300-48P suitable for powering IP phones, wireless access points, security cameras, access-control systems, and other PoE-enabled devices.

For uplink connectivity, the switch provides four 1 Gigabit SFP/SFP+ uplink interfaces, allowing connection to aggregation, distribution, or core network infrastructure. These interfaces provide flexible fiber connectivity for extending the network beyond the local access layer.

The EX3300-48P runs Juniper Junos OS, providing enterprise-grade Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking features. These include VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, static routing, OSPF, RIP, IPv6, multicast, QoS, and security controls.

A major feature of the EX3300 platform is Virtual Chassis technology, which allows multiple compatible switches to be interconnected and managed as a single logical device. This reduces operational complexity while providing improved scalability and resiliency.

Security capabilities include 802.1X authentication, MAC authentication, DHCP snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, IP Source Guard, firewall filters, and access-control mechanisms, helping protect users, endpoints, and network resources.

The switch uses a 1U rack-mount form factor, making it suitable for enterprise communications rooms, server rooms, branch offices, and campus network cabinets.
