Description

The Huawei FusionServer 2288H V7 is a new-generation 2U two-socket rack server engineered to deliver a strong combination of processing performance, memory scalability, storage flexibility, and high-speed I/O. It is designed for enterprise and telecommunications environments requiring reliable infrastructure for complex workloads.

The server supports 4th and 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, with configurations supporting up to 64 cores per processor and processor TDPs of up to 385W. The platform incorporates eight memory channels per CPU and PCIe 5.0 connectivity, providing substantial bandwidth for compute-intensive and data-intensive workloads.

For memory, the 2288H V7 provides 32 DDR5 DIMM slots, supporting memory speeds of up to 5600 MT/s in current configurations. The platform can also use CXL technology to expand memory capacity with additional DDR5 slots, allowing up to 48 DIMM slots in supported configurations.

Storage flexibility is a major strength of the platform. Depending on configuration, the server supports 2.5-inch SAS/SATA/SSD drives, 3.5-inch SAS/SATA drives, and NVMe SSDs. Current specifications allow configurations ranging from 8 to 33 2.5-inch drives, 12 to 18 3.5-inch drives, or 4/8/16/24 NVMe SSDs, with higher-density configurations supporting up to 45 × 2.5-inch drives or 28 full-NVMe SSDs. Two M.2 SSDs are also supported.

The server provides extensive PCIe expansion capability, with up to 19 PCIe slots in supported configurations. Two FlexIO slots are dedicated to OCP 3.0 network adapters, while standard PCIe expansion slots provide additional connectivity for storage controllers, network adapters, GPUs, and other accelerators. Up to 8 of the standard slots support PCIe 5.0 in the current configuration.

For accelerated computing, the 2288H V7 supports up to four double-width or 14 single-width GPU cards in supported configurations, making it suitable for AI inference, visualization, accelerated analytics, and other GPU-enabled workloads.

Enterprise storage protection is provided through optional hardware RAID supporting RAID 0, 1, 10, 1E, 5, 50, 6, and 60. Supported RAID controllers can also provide cache protection through a supercapacitor, RAID migration, drive roaming, self-diagnostics, and remote configuration.

The server is designed for high availability with hot-swappable drives, hot-swappable fans, and redundant hot-swappable power supplies. Available PSU capacities include 900W, 1200W, 1500W, 2000W, and 3000W Platinum/Titanium options, with 1+1 redundancy supported.

Management is handled through the integrated iBMC controller, which provides remote monitoring, diagnostics, configuration, security management, and out-of-band administration. It supports standard management interfaces including Redfish, SNMP, and IPMI 2.0, together with HTML5/VNC-based remote KVM.
