Description
The Cisco ASR1002-HX is part of the Cisco ASR 1000 Series Aggregation Services Routers, engineered for organizations that require high-performance, scalable, and resilient routing at the WAN, Internet, and service-provider edge.
The platform is designed around Cisco’s QuantumFlow Processor architecture, providing hardware-assisted packet processing and the ability to deliver multiple integrated network services without requiring separate appliances. It supports demanding applications such as WAN aggregation, Internet edge routing, data-center interconnect, cloud connectivity, and service-provider edge deployments.
The ASR1002-HX provides a combination of integrated and modular interfaces, supporting high-speed Ethernet connectivity. Depending on the installed interface modules and licensing, the platform can provide 10Gbps, 40Gbps, and 100Gbps-class connectivity, making it suitable for high-bandwidth network aggregation.
