Description

The Huawei FusionServer CH121 V5 is a half-width compute node designed specifically for the FusionServer E9000 converged infrastructure platform. Rather than operating as a standalone rack server, the CH121 V5 is installed into an E9000 chassis, where shared chassis power, cooling, management, and networking infrastructure provide a highly dense computing environment.

The compute node supports Intel Xeon Scalable processors, providing high-core-count processing for enterprise applications, virtualization, private cloud environments, databases, and compute-intensive workloads. Its modular blade architecture allows organizations to deploy multiple compute nodes within a single chassis and scale processing resources as required.

The CH121 V5 provides substantial DDR4 ECC memory capacity through multiple DIMM slots. This enables the node to support virtual machines, databases, analytics workloads, and other applications that require significant memory resources.

For local storage, the node supports internal 2.5-inch storage options, depending on the specific configuration. Additional storage resources can be provided through the E9000 chassis infrastructure and external SAN/NAS environments. This architecture makes the CH121 V5 particularly suitable for centralized data-center environments where compute and storage resources are managed as an integrated infrastructure.

The compute node also benefits from the E9000’s high-speed backplane connectivity, allowing network, storage, and management traffic to be connected through chassis-based modules. This reduces cabling complexity and provides a scalable architecture for dense enterprise deployments.

Management is provided through Huawei’s integrated management architecture, enabling administrators to monitor compute nodes, configure hardware, perform diagnostics, and manage firmware across the E9000 chassis.
