Description
The HPE StoreEver MSL2024 LTO-7 is an enterprise tape automation solution designed to provide reliable, high-capacity, and cost-effective data protection for small and medium-sized data-center environments.
The library provides 24 cartridge slots in a compact 2U rack-mountable chassis and supports up to two LTO-7 Ultrium 15000 tape drives. LTO-7 drives support a native transfer rate of up to 300 MB/s per drive, while a fully configured two-drive system can achieve up to 2.16 TB/hour of native transfer throughput.
With 24 LTO-7 cartridges, the MSL2024 provides up to 144 TB of native capacity. Using HPE’s stated 2.5:1 compression assumption, maximum compressed capacity reaches approximately 360 TB.
The MSL2024 supports 6 Gb/s SAS and 8 Gb Native Fibre Channel interfaces for LTO-7 configurations, allowing integration with a wide range of enterprise servers, backup servers, and storage infrastructures.
The library includes automated media handling, an integrated barcode reader, removable magazines, configurable mail slots, and remote management capabilities. It also supports AES-256 hardware encryption, helping protect backup data and support security and compliance requirements.
