Description
The Cisco SFP-10G-SR-S= is a Cisco S-Class 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver designed to provide high-speed optical connectivity for compatible Cisco networking equipment. It uses an 850nm VCSEL optical interface and connects through dual LC/PC fiber connectors.
The transceiver is optimized for short- to medium-distance 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections over multimode fiber. Cisco specifies a maximum reach of 300 meters using OM3 MMF and 400 meters using OM4 or OM5 MMF.
The S-Class version is intended for cost-effective 10GbE deployments in enterprise networks, data centers, server rooms, and network infrastructure. Cisco specifically notes that the SFP-10G-SR-S does not support FCoE.
